I am human bean.

Michelle Serje is a first generation, bilingual, Colombian Dominican American actor and Voice Over artist from New York. Michelle works professionally in VO as a dubbing artist for Netflix in Film and TV. She can heard in series regular roles on La Casa de las Flores (Season 2 and 3) and Contra Las Cuedras (Season 1). Being the translator and interpreter for her family lead her to build complex communication skills at a young age.

I am trained.

Michelle holds a BFA in Theater and double major in Communication Arts and Sciences from Michigan State University. She is a classically trained actress, under the teachings of Howard Fine (HFAS), Darcy Picoult (NYU), Tom Irwin (Steppenwolf West), and Alexander Technique (Jennifer Schultz, Nick George).

 

Upon her move back to NY from LA , Michelle was cast in her first Off Broadway production in the workshop of new play EN LAS SOMBRAS by Jordan Ramirez Puckett. Since her move, she has worked with TEATRO LATEA, Staten Island Shakespeare Company, and Ripley Grier performance spaces to name a few. In her undergrad, Michelle was cast in her first regional theater production in The Dead Guy at Williamston Theater, becoming EMC at 18.

 

I am funny.

Having started an improv team at her summer camp at the age of 8, Michelle has always had a strong drive and love for comedy. After completing UCB 101-401, multiple electives, and Advanced Study, Michelle started her own indie improv team performing around LA. She creates sketches on her social media pages generating viral content reflecting society and flipping the script as an observer of the human condition.

When not on stage or set, you can find Michelle dancing all around NYC in tap, ballet, salsa, and free style classes! She is a 10 year experienced fitness instructor in barre, HIIT, and personal training and cultivates her other artistic passion in curating and reselling vintage clothing @brainsexvintage!
